  • Watch videos in 2x/3x speed (it takes some time to get used to).

    • Shift + > increase playback speed (Shift + < to decrease); max 2x speed.

  • Don't rely on youtube's algorithm.

    • When searching for a certain topic, find an online community and see what they recommend.

  • Don't turn youtube into TV (have a purpose on being on the site).

  • Other useful shortcuts

    • k to pause/play

    • f for full screen

    • l go forward 10 seconds (Right arrow for 5s)
